Default Identifying B16 Head

I know , this topic has been discussed but from all the threads I’ve seen I haven’t seen 1 like mine.

just bought a b16 head local to me. I’m having a very hard time identifying what type of head it is.

I need to buy rockers , cam caps , and cam rails , and it’s really hard to do that without knowing a lick of info. And theirs no PR -XX stamp on my head either :/

im hoping someone can be gracious enough to lead me down the right path on figuring out what kinda of b16 head I have!

if I’m missing anything please tell me and I’ll get the correct pictures asap!

Do you know of a machine shop that can accurately line bore/hone the cam journals once you find a set of cam caps ?

Looks like an aftermarket PR3 (B16) casting. Definitely not made by Honda. You can tell the difference between PR3 and P72 (GSR) castings by the coolant passage to the intake manifold. Square is PR3 and round down low is P72.

PR3:

P72:

I was going to say that looks like one of the poorly executed chinese heads.

The casting doesn't look Honda at all.

It is an aftermarket head... probably a TopLine... but aftermarket or OE, the OP cannot simply buy a used set of cam caps and rails and just bolt them on. Cam bores are drilled AFTER the caps and rails are properly torqued, making each set essentially unique. If you swap from the original matched set, the general consensus in the industry for a proper fix is to have the cam bores checked and line bored/honed as necessary. I have never seen a complete set moved over and EVERYTHING match up.
