1995 Honda Accord ECU, BARO Sensor & Idle Control
Came here for advice because I'm staring down a 1600 repair and something feels off.
Basically, car died while idling and we're getting little hitches when accelerating, They're diagnostics show the following:
"Other: upon inspection drove vehicle into shop and stalled and started to flash D light, found dtc code 13 problem in BARO sensor the sensor is built into ECU unit- recommend to replace and recheck "
"upon inspection found dtc code 14- idle air control valve, recommend to replace, American Honda part as been Discontinued (part# 36450-P0B-A01) , aftermarket part quoted part takes 1-2 days to get"
After researching, I learned there was an option to try and reset the ECU and see if the error goes away and there's a cleaner for the ICV. So I'm asking if I should look for other options.
They want to send out the ECM for a refurbish but I found a refurb on eBay for 249. I found an ECV for 100 (OEM part as well).
I can knock down some of the cost by bringing my own parts but is there more I can do before I sink 1600 into her and, if I do, is this the sort of thing that I can not worry about for a while after it's done or is it time to finally let go of my girl?
Thanks so much.
