So I just bought my first 09 civic si a few months ago car ran great (besides an exhaust leak) up until a week ago I was cruising going into 5th gear when suddenly it wouldn’t let me into 5th nor 6th. Pulled over left hazards on, by the time help arrived my battery died turns out my alternator is bad not charging my battery but I bought a new battery before I new the alternator was bad. Magically I have 5th and 6th now but car goes into limp mode in every gear. Any suggestions? Could the bad alternator make the car go into limp mode? Was told that car was tuned by previous buyer.
