Default D15 crank no start

I think my timing is way off, the car will crank over but no start. It ran one day when I started it and ran really rough and shut it off right away. Started it a week later and it wont start.

Ive got power to fuel pump but an injector is leaking, white smoke WAS coming out of the intake when i first tried to start it so maybe an intake gasket issue? Idk any help would be appreciated.

obd0 doesn't use crank knock sensor.

It is possible you skipped timing. You would use the cam gear markings in conjunction with the crank to verify the timing.

Turn the crank until the TDC mark on the crank pulley lines up with the marks on the timing cover. You would be looking down the cover from above, so the arrows line up. The TDC mark should be below those lined up pointers. The TDC mark should be the 4th one, after a group of 3 marks.

With the crank TDC mark lined up, the cam pulley UP mark would point up and the lines to the left and right would align with the deck of the head. This would indicate proper mechanical timing.

I can shoot you a pic of the FSM page on this if you need it.

Ah okay I forgot about the top dead center mark, I actually set the timing a couple days ago to the exact middle mark (of the 3 grouped together) and adjusted the cam gear and it still didnt start and pretty much threw the cam gear back in the same position. I hope I didnt F it up even more, considering the car wont turn over I dont think I did.

im having issues with starting the car at the moment (i believe im getting no spark from the dizzy) but shouldnt the car atleast start with the timing off??

Depends on how off the timing is, a tooth or two and it should still start. If it's out much further you'll run into other issues.

Verify mechanical timing before trying to start it any further so it doesn't make things worse - if mechanical timing is set, move forward with the troubleshooting.
