Default Can i use a 2004 civic lx transmission on a 2005 civic ex??

Sorry for the ignorance but i just need to know. Can I use the transmission from an 04 civic lx on an 05 civic ex?

Don't really know, but there are no difference between those years/models other than a different type of engine. You should be able to use it.

Yes you can for most. The automatic transmissions for the d17 series are interchangeable from 2001 to 2005. I currently have a 2004 with a trans I removed from a 2002 in it.

Gear ratios are different, but it WILL bolt up to the engine in your car.
