Good day,

I'm having and issue with my Honda City manufactured in year 2015. The issue begin around August 2023. During the driving the car engine die off intermittently. To be exact, the engine occasionally die off during driving(sometime few time a day), but this not happen everyday. For real exemple, it die off today, and it happen again around 2 day later, sometime even at shorther(within a day) or longer period as for 6 days, this happen on and off. There is no exact time for the engine die off sequence.

The car had been send to Honda 3S center Bintulu and Sibu, Malaysia) to dignoss the said issue, but the result come out was not able to determine the problem, as on last year end, honda 3S center (Sibu, Malaysia) spend a month plus to check and suggest to replace the spark plug, to fix the said issue. However the problem still persist. Thus this become an big issue since the authorized car service center could not find out the said issue.

May i know if any similar issue happen to Honda city owner and any method to solve the said issue? Please help me out due to safety issue. Thank you.

 

Similar to mine (Honda City 2004).

Changed fuel pump (it was not giving enough pressure)
Changed the Crankshaft Position Sensor.
Changed Air Intake Filter (even though it was still good)
Changed Spark Plugs with better (more expensive ones)

So far it made it run again.
