2007 Honda cr-v
Recently moved and took my 2007 honda cr-v to the nearest honda dealer for oil change, the gave me a list of services needed according to them,I'm disappointed because in the list of service needed I can see the recommendation for transfer case oil service,at the honda dealer where I used to get all my maintenance the tech explained to me that honda civ doesn't need separate transfer case oil service because the transmission service takes care of the transfer case fluid/oil also I see a front differential recommendation service,i went trough all my service record history and all I see from my previous dealership is rear differential fluid service, please help me clarify this front differential serviced my 2007 honda cr-v awd really needs it or is this another scam/error from the dealer like the transfer case oil? thank you!
Rear differential needs an oil change. It is self contained.
Transfer case shares oil with the transmission and front differential. So a transmission oil change takes care of all three.
