Wheel Sizes
Have just put on Coilovers on my ek hatch. 2” front, 2.5” rear. Was wondering what size rims/tyres will fit on it. I have 17x7’s at the moment without tyres. Don’t think they will fit in the well without rubbing. Wondering if there was a tyre size suitable to fit them and/or what other size wheel will work, being flush in the well? Also am not worried if the guards have to be rolled to fit certain sizes.
Assuming that the offset of your 17x7 wheels is +40mm or more... you should be fine with a P205/40R17. You may have to add a smidge of negative camber to clear the inside of the fender wells for sure, but it is worth a try with stock settings before you get aggressive with the camber.
That's pretty close... again, you may have to be a little aggressive on the camber settings to minimize rub under chassis compression or full-lock steering angle.
The diameter of the hole in the middle of the tire is of little importance... what matters is the overall height/circumference of the tire compared to the original stock size and how far it sticks in or out of the wheel openings.
