Default 8th gen base model power steering delete

Ok so I bought a 8th gen just for a nice daily beater car. The night I bought the car the serpentine belt fell off and I noticed so did the power steering pump. Apparently the bolts are snapped and there’s no way to mount it back on the motor besides extracting the snapped bolts and I don’t have the time right now. Is there anyway I can get a shorter belt and just not have power steering?

Not likely.

The pulley used in place of the power steering pump bolts to same bolt holes used by the power steering pump.

Belt routing is such that you need something in that upper pulley location.

Time to get busy with the bolt extraction and put that power steering pump back.

The 9th Gen has very similar engine and electric power steering. I've been trying to come up with what you need but haven't finished the solution, the belt tensioner 06-11 looks just like the 12+ but have different part numbers. Maybe this can steer you towards making it happen out of necessity, I'm pretty slow when the system is working.
