I was thrilled to surprise my wife with a new 2024 CR-V Sport-L, but we've encountered several issues since the purchase.
Initial issues experienced since Day #1:
Infotainment screen defects - pixilation and vertical lines
Center console lid internal rubbing
We took it to Honda for warranty repairs. However, during the process:
Honda broke portions of the dashboard trim while removing the screen.
Two sections of the center console were broken, one of which has been repaired.
Despite multiple service appointments at the dealership and a considerable inconvenience without the vehicle, they claim the current condition is the "best they can do." Interior trim panels remain damaged and there are gaps between components.
As first-time Honda owners, it's disappointing and unacceptable that we have to settle living with damages caused during repairs due to poor Honda quality on a brand-new vehicle. My 2013 Hyundai Elantra's interior has less defects than our 2024 CR-V Sport-L.
I submitted the photos below with additional details to Honda North America two weeks ago but have yet to receive a response.
This has been so upsetting that we are considering inquiring about returning the vehicle under our state's lemon law, but I figured I would join and post on this forum to see what the community's thoughts are. Any suggestions?
I would say you found a shitty service department. I agree your screen or maybe graphic processor has some sort of issue and should be replaced.
That damage to the interior trim is completely unprofessional!
I would take your service paperwork from your crap service department and go visit another dealership that wants your business. May or may not have better luck. Customer service has just about vanished.
