see a lot of questions in this forum regarding what rims from other Hondas will fit on our CRV’s.

I recently purchased a 2012 CRV Touring model. It came with summer tires on the OEM alloys as well as a set of winter tires on steel rims. I absolutely hate the look of steel rims so I immediately had the winter tires mounted onto the oem alloys and sold the steel rims cheap.

I was left with a set of almost mint 17” summer tires and immediately started my search for a set of OEM Honda rims to mount them on. There are no shortage of scrap yards in my area and was amazed to see that several of them had 1 or 2 of the 2016 Honda Civic Touring rims in stock.

I was worried about fitment so at the first yard I asked to try it on my car to see if it would clear the front caliper and it did!

I played their pricing off each other and was able to pick up two of them at one yard and singles at two others for a perfect set of four. Total cost- ONLY $500 total.

I had the tires mounted on them today but it’s winter so they won’t be going on the car for a few months yet but I did get a pic of them beside the car. I think its gonna look fantastic and modernizes the vehicle! Even better than the stock ones on the 5th Gen CRV’s.

Those look sharp. Just like they belong on the CRV. Should've been an option from the factory. I thought about different stock Honda wheels for my 09 and wondering what would fit, but going a different route now.

 

I was gonna go aftermarket but didn’t wanna deal with hub rings and new lugs. These feel aftermarket but perfect fit on the hub and can use my oem lugs.

 

I'm only going aftermarket because I'm going to need a wider rim for bigger tires that I'm going to install after a 1.5" lift.
