2010 CRV steering wheel “pulsing”
Good Morning,
I am trying to diagnose this problem on my mother’s CRV. When driving the steering wheel started kind of pulsing to the right intermittently. It seems to get worse the more you drive and doesn’t start immediately from a cold start. It is not mechanical but feels more electrical like something telling the steering wheel to tick to the right. It can be slight at times and harder at others. My first thought was the rack and pinion if it was electrically assisted but can’t find much info on it. Anybody got an ideas of what this could be?!

2010 EX. I just got it from her to further investigate. I haven’t experienced the “tick” again but after driving it this morning I’m now noticing a shake in the steering when accelerating and getting up to road speed. If I let off the gas it stops immediately…
Gen 3 CRV's have a hydraulic power steering system. Check your power steering fluid level. If it's low, top it off. If it still does it after topping off, the pump is starting to go bad..
How long does the car sit between being driven? Almost sounds like the tires are flat spotted giving you that vibration. My 09 vibrated with the worn tires. New tires and alignment solved 99.9% of that problem. I feel that the remaining vibrations is due to worn out suspension components.
