Default 2000 Civic EX dash light Woes

Hello, first & hopefully last post created looking for some guidance.
Just recently swapped in a double din into my ‘00 Ex, everything went perfectly smooth until later that night when leaving for the gym I noticed my cluster & climate control lights don’t work. I pulled the. 7.5a fuse #30 for the dashboard lights & fuse appears to be blown. After doing some digging, I see people usually don’t wire the orange illumination/dash lights wire as it can cause a short? Assuming that’s the cause of my fuse blowing, so I may break that connection & cap them off, however there is a spare orange/white wire that has no match nor label on it, does anyone have a location for this wire? Solid orange is illumination/dash lights, not sure what orange/white could be, or where to wire it to, any help is appreciated, thanks!

If your aftermarket radio has the ability to "Dim" the screen when your parking/headlights are turned on, then you would use the "Illumination" wire in the conversion plug. Double check the wiring diagram for the adapter harness to verify the wire color for the illumination wire... any wires in the harness that do not need to be connected to the radio harness, cap/tape off/terminate the wire as you have with the crimp connector in the photo above to make sure there is no possibility of short or grounding out.

Thanks for the reply! Figured it out, my particular head unit is the Pioneer AVH4100NEX, for anyone else in the future, on my conversion harness the orange/wht stripe is for dimmer switch. CAP OFF orange illumination wire on conversion harness, and run factory illumination wire to dimmer switch. We have light!
