The plan today was to refit the arb, bushes and brackets that were missing. I found this and I can see it need to be replaced but I'm not 100% how to go about it.
i do search everytime but sometimes these are quite particular.
That is a called a dynamic damper and is there to reduce NVH (noise, vibration & harshness). They are long discontinued and you will find any aftermarket replacement driveshafts don't have them. If yours is actually loose and able to move, consider simply cutting it off. If it makes you feel better, the Type-R doesn't have these dynamic dampers. Consider it "added lightness".
