Icon4 Boosted EF cooling issues

So I recently replaced everything in the cooling system on my ef. Mishimoto fan, fan switch and thermostat. Gates water pump. Ect sensor, and gauge sending unit. New skunk2 half size radiator. Everything u can think of has been replaced. My car is running hot but not overheating, I’m running blue Honda coolant with vp racing coolant additive and when the car is at an idle it starts warming up. My radiator is also turn a little bit to clear my down pipe, not gangster leaning just at a slight angle. I’m stuck and anything will help for the fact that I’m stumped at this point.

2 things to do that may be of help would be to make sure the fan is turning on and wired correctly so it blows towards the engine! Second, wrap the down pipe with exhaust wrap since your just baking the rad with all the heat if you have not done so already..
My down pipe is about less than 2 inches away from my rad and with zero cooling issues with having the pipe wrapped well. I also made a fan shroud to help with fighting heat soak to the rad.

With an FMIC and half size radiator, you should duct behind the FMIC to push more air through the radiator. You should also block off any gaps between the FMIC and the radiator to keep air from escaping. Also, the stock grill is pretty restrictive and IMHO, creates a slightly positive zone of pressure that results in less air flow. You can use block off plates or get an aftermarket fiberglass bumper cover and modify it to fit. Wrap the downpipe, dump tube, exhaust manifold and use a turbo blanket. Hood loovers can also help but they need to be in the correct location and not just randomly placed. You can fit a 3 core half width radiator with the stock bumper and upper radiator support bar but it is a very tight fit. It requires modification of the front crossmember radiator support but not the hardest. You can also fit a Mishimoto 1850 CFM fan in there but be warned, you will need a dedicated fuse and relay as it pulls more amps than the stock wiring and fuse are rated for.

It all helps but I noticed the biggest difference in three things; going to a triple core radiator, going to a 1850cfm fan and modifying a knockoff Mugen bumper cover to match and seal to the FMIC.

By any chance do u know of any fan shrouds that will work with a skunk2 alpha half rad for ef? I got a turbo blanket and exhaust wrap and everything I’m just trying to figure out which shroud to go with or if there is one that is a direct bolt on

umm yea.
The slight angle on your rad might be causing some issues. maybe not.
Are you over heating your engine when at idea, cruzing, or under boost?
