Icon5 K Series in a CRX

Hey! Been out of the Honda game for a while, but my 89 CRX si has been garage-bound for 9 years. Picked up a K20A swap and linked up with a local guy for the install, aiming to keep the AC. He warns it's tight in the CRX, Georgia summers are no joke! and I'm covering mods/parts. Is this a bit steep for a K-series swap? Also this is out of his garage not a shop. Any rough idea on a fair cost? He plans to tidy the engine bay, shave off unnecessary bits, paint it up, replace the rack and pinion & swap the engine Labor's estimated at 7-8k. Thanks a bunch for your input!

If that is labor only, it sounds a bit high. Maybe there is something about the job that you didn't share... is the car currently running now ? Why has it been down for 9 years ?
