New to the site looking for any and all help
The hole is circled. This is just above the oil pan.
Hello. I was given a 2004 Honda civic ex with 200000 miles on it last summer. Both of my other vehicles got trashed so I ended up driving this. Ran really well but went through oil like crazy. I fell on hard times. As they say when it rains it pours. The car started over heating. Trying everything possible to fix it while staying away from admitting it was a head gasket was challenging to say the least. I am mechanically inclined but am in no way a mechanic. Eventually, I had to just accept the head gasket was blown. With no money, I was screwed either way. I ended up getting a head gasket kit so I could replace it. I had no choice. I had to have a car and I in no way could I pay anyone to even help with it. I watched YouTube videos as I did. To my surprise, I did it. It ran rich and struggled going into fifth gear but it maintained temp and no more oil problem. After a week, the crankshaft seal burned out. Out of desperation, I again did the repair. A week later I’m driving home, car stalls won’t start. No idea what to do or how to do it I just started watching YouTube videos and trying to figure out what was wrong. It would crank it not run. I don’t know how to explain it. It would start but not turn over, if that makes sense? I finally went to the junkyard. Got fuel injectors, spark plug coils, map sensor, vetch and crankshaft position sensor. I think it was the crankshaft sensor. At fired right up but instantly blew a hole through the part of the engine that the oil pan is connected to. Front about an inch above the oil pan. I don’t even know what the part is called. Can anyone tell me what it is? Also, what would cause this? Can it be fixed?
