2012 Civic Sedan LX - is odometer reading stored in the dash cluster in an EPROM?
My sis-in-law's speedometer is starting to have issue with the TFT display where in the upper 1/4 of the screen the display looks a little burnt.
My question is: Is the odometer value stored on an eprom physically on the circuit board of the speedometer dash panel....or can replace the speedometer dash assembly and get her real odometer reading to be displayed on the IMID display to the right of her speedometer (USA car) ?
I don't believe the odometer reading is stored on the IMID display as I've read of people replacing their display from a unit from ebay or junkyard.
Her IMID display is the first piece we are replacing as it is the worst.
