I swapped a built b18 in my 99 civic ek but It won't start when using a b18 ecu I'm not getting spark and the feul pump is not priming and there is no engine light when in the on pos. I have a hondata ecu for it thats not tuned to the engine yet but has a del sol base map that will give me an eng light in on pos but wont start it either (obviously because its not tuned for it). the b18 ecu ran the engine in a 97 civic without problem. Swapped the same ecu/ hanress with the engine. Can anyone help

 

The engine harness from a '97 Civic will NOT work in a '99 Civic... the free ECU plug hanging near the ECU under the dash should be an obvious give-away. You need a '99-00 Civic engine harness and you will simply need to modify it to fit your B18 engine.
