Default 1998 Honda Civic DX Sedan fuel issue

Honda Civic 1998 DX Sedan (D16Y7)

Hello, I am having an issue with my Civic where sometimes when I press down on the gas pedal the car stutters like it’s having trouble pumping fuel to the engine. Pretty scary, especially when I’m trying to merge onto the freeway and I can’t get up too speed cause it just bogs out on me.
This car is more of a daily too me but I’ve been doing just basic “mods” here and there example being my CAI, gonna add strut bars soon and new headlights + taillights. But anyways so far I’ve put it a new fuel pump (it helped the problem somewhat but didn’t fix it), new fuel filter, new spark plug and wires.

After doing that the problem still exists, if it helps it also stutters a lot on right turns and sometimes on left for some reason. Anyone have any ideas of what else it could be or had anyone ran into this issue before?

Start with checking the mechanical timing or the timing belt make sure the timing belt did not slip a tooth.

Then check ignition timing with timing light.

Could have clogged injectors,

Bad map sensor,

Check the TPS calibration, you need a volt meter and probe the TPS wires and see what the value is at closed throttle and WOT, search how to check the TPS.

Any codes in the ECU?

yeah a p1457 code was popping up but my friend and I fixed it. I’m pretty new too cars so all that stuff sounds pretty intimidating too me to do lol, which one do you think I should start with first? Would a bad timing belt make a noise? Also on another thread someone told me to check the fuel pressure regulator, fuel return line, and line. Could those things be worth checking?
