Transmission Issue 2018 Honda Civic EX 1.5T
Have a 2018 Honda Civic 1.5T about 110,000 miles with a transmission issue that I'm hoping someone else can give me more info on. Early this week my wife was driving the car at highway speeds down the interstate when she turned on her cruise control and the vehicle lagged a bit then a few miles later the radio screen flickered and the car started rolling to a stop. The engine stayed running but it was like the car was in neutral when the shift selector was in drive. You can rev the car when in drive, reverse, etc but the car will not move at all. No grinding noise coming from the trans when you rev the engine from what I can hear. When the car is in park it acts normally as if it in park but the rest of the gears feel as though the car is in neutral. No codes after scanning and no flashing lights on the dash at all.
Had a local shop qoute me about $6,500 with tax for a remanufactured trans install with a 3 year/36,0000 mile warranty. Is that a reasonable price?
I'm going to pull the pan on Sunday when I get back home to see if the CVT belt shredded or there are a bunch of metal particles in the fluid. But is there any chance this is something electrical? I tested the battery (original to the vehicle) and it failed. So I replaced that yesterday but it still didn't make the car move but it started way better. Do I need to reset the Transmission Control Module somehow? Any other ideas appreciated, thanks!

Given your description of the issue, I'm hesitant to agree that the transmission is at fault. What you described sounds electrical. Possibly a ground or something as simple as a bad battery / loose terminal. Their quote seems appropriate, although I suspect they may just be trying to sell you a high paying job.
Pull the negative terminal on the battery for a minute and see if it fires up and behaves normally.

Thanks, when I replaced the battery the old battery was out for 30+ minutes then I put the new battery in once I got back from Autozone. No change unfortunately, still not moving in any drive gears. Any other suggestions as to what the problem may be?
Hello everyone, I know it has nothing to do with that post, but I have a problem too.. Today my car battery died and my radio is asking for a pin code that I don't have. Of course, I don't have the car book or any card that would contain the code.
Today I searched the internet for ways to get the code and I found this tool that gives me the radio code. I need your opinion before I use it, so please give me feedback.

Call a dealership and have your VIN handy. They will give you the code.
