Default 10mm bolt stripped on thermostat housing

I have a 2002 honda odyssey and my 10mm bolt stripped on thermostat housing. I can't get a picture of it because it's underneath stuff and I can't see it. But the bolt is stripped and vice grip didn't work its too big and the spot is small barley will fit my hands in there! Help ppl urgent plzzz

1. Use a 6-point 10mm socket instead of 12-point 10mm socket. 6-point has less chance of rounding the bolt head and more chance of still being able to loosen your rounded bolt.
2. If you can't easily reach it, adding a universal joint will allow you to reach in at different angles.
3. If 6-point 10mm socket doesn't work, then something like a bolt extractor may still work.
