Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I'm new to the mechanic world.

I need to replace my d15b8 m/t and I've searched high and low for another and can't seem to find one. However, I've found a few d15b7's and I would like to know
how interchangeable the two engines are. Is it as simple as swapping the engines and then swapping out the ECU from a b7 m/t civic?
