Default 1996 Accord EX 2.2l VTEC Bad ECU/ P1381

I was having many issues with my 1996 Accord and thanks to this forum I was able to find solutions. Here are my findings and codes:

I had the code P1381(cylinder Position censor intermittent) - People related this this to the distributor because the sensor lives inside the distributor.
I was getting a bad start and had to give the car gas by stepping on the accelerator for it to start.
My problem is now fixed and replaced the following items in order from cheapest to most expensive.
  1. Spark plugs and wires
  2. Coolant temperature sensor (YT suggestion)
  3. Distributor (my old one was missing a tooth)
  4. Battery
  5. Finally the ECU because my code kept coming back! P1381
That did the trick. I got my ECU from a junkyard for about $89 plus $20 warranty fee!
Found a youtuber that helped me realize the ECU was bad has nice playlist of 94-97 Honda Accord Assorted Repairs!94-97 Honda Accord Assorted Repairs94-97 Honda Accord Assorted Repairs94-97 Honda Accord Assorted Repairs94-97 Honda Accord Assorted Repairs94-97 Honda Accord Assorted
I came here to post on it because this forum helped me get back on my feet and have my car in running order.

If the issue comes back I will comeback and update this post...
I hope everything works out though and this might help someone in need...
I was also experiencing long waits for my fuel pump to prime in rainy / cold days (30 mins at times). Maybe this new ECU will solve that too but once is winter I will find out.
