We had the webbing professionally replaced on my daughter's 88 hf and now the retractors don't lock. The company even acknowledged that they couldn't get them to lock. So far, the used belts that we've come across don't seem to lock reliably either. I've noticed that there are many aftermarket options out there. Do you know of any that will bolt right in? I'd imagine the critical piece is the retractor, whether it fits and whether it requires modification.

Wonder if the retractor is damaged / broken? Reach out to https://seatbeltrepair.com/ and see if they can repair it. Their mail order based business only works on '96 and up, but our cars are simple, so they may be able fix it.

 

I sent the belts to Safety Restore and they were unable to make them work. They're the same ones that replaced the webbing.
