I will not bore you with the typical hid retrofit how-to, because this is widely available online. I just want to share some details on how I did my retrofit for my crv.
Here is where I found the best place to mount my ballasts. I made some brackets quickly with the flat stock aluminum, and a piece of L-bracket aluminum. I tig welded everything together.
Here is an adjuster bracket adapter that I made to replace the one that came with the projectors. The problem is the rotational alignment is not right with the headlights I bought, and the adapter that came with the projectors. I measured with a laser level, and an inclinometer and it was between 1.5 and 2.5 degrees off. To fix this, I traced the design I needed into CAD, and then I rotated the alignment fixturing tab the appropriate amount. Then I printed it on transfer paper, which allowed me to put the design on a piece of steel plate. All I had to do is cut the steel design out- and then try it. It took a few tries but I got it pretty much where I wanted it.
