Just a simple project to convert the high-mount stop light to LED. Very easy to design and build a board with LEDs. 7 strings of 4 each. It's important to put a resistor in parallel. This way, any small bias voltage can make it's way through the resistor when the brake pedal is not being pressed.
I traced the outline in CAD, and then built a small control board with the 220ohm 2 watt resistor in parallel. I I think it fits nicely. Brighter than factory, but not "stupid bright". Better for safety.
