Tune
hello I have a 1996 Honda Civic Coupe 5 speed transmission with a d16y7 looking to tune it for pops and bangs Two Step Etc it has a odb2 ECU in it people are telling me I need to convert it to an odb1 but which exactly odb1 ECU will fit is my question thanks

 

So far I know I need to change my 3 wire IACVplug to a 2 wire iacv throttle body Etc I just need to know exactly which odb1 ECU can I put in it does it need to be the same year transmission Etc looking for the cheapest way out thank you

 

obd2 is not tune capable. any obd1 ecu is and then would be tuned to your engine. you would need a conversion harness to put any obd1 ecu in the car as well as the items your mentioned. no obd1 ecu will be appropriate in stock form. it would go in, to be immediately tuned. not driven prior.
