B18c1 into EF - Fuel Issue? (cranks but won't start)
Having trouble starting the mostly stock B18c1 I just put into my 1991 Civic Dx hatch (STD). I plan on doing a build thread in the future (once it is running), but for the meantime I just need help with this issue. Any and all thoughts/ideas/suggestions are appreciated. More info as follows:
PROBLEM: Cranks but won't start. All 4 spark plugs getting regular impulses as tested with inline spark tester light. All 4 injectors getting regular impulses as tested with Noid light. Fuel pressure going into fuel rail is about 38-39 psi as tested with inline fuel pressure gauge. So far as I can tell the fuel rail and injectors are stock b18c1. Fuel pump, filter and lines are from the Civic. Battery is new and healthy. No CELs. Engine ran well prior to swap as verified by me (engine was previously in an EK hatch with same ECU (chipped P28), fuel line, fuel rail, injectors). I replaced the wiring harness with one from Rywire (Budget B-series OBD2 to OBD1 with correct chassis harness for 91 EF STD).
MY BEST GUESS: According to the interwebs, the recommended fuel pressure for B18c1 is around 50 psi. Maybe the lower pressure is not reaching the minimum amount for the injectors to function correctly and generate any combustion? Seems like I should still get some combustion with only moderately lower fuel pressure, but maybe not? I believe the fuel pump and filter were replaced by PO not too long ago when he replaced the whole fuel tank.
What do y'all think? Again any and all thoughts/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

UPDATE: Installed GSR fuel pump, now getting ~50 psi fuel pressure right before the rail. Still won't start, just cranks. Not sure where to go from here...
UPDATE #2: Turns out the timing was way off, don't know what I did when I changed the timing belt but wow... real mechanic stuff lol. Fixed the timing and it started right up.
