Default Peace and Love to all Honda enthusiasts

Warm greets everyone,

I registered on this forum some weeks ago. I hope to be able to both receive guidance also lend a hand when I feel I may be able to make a definitive contribution. I have driven Honda's for the best of my life now in retirement. My accord 1991 was in running condition when I donated it to a charity several years ago. The car had 560+K miles on it and except for fairly extensive fender rust was still more than able to dash its own weight when throttled. The manual transmission, the AC, and all functions on this Accord 91 EX were still working. That was 7 years ago when I still had the car. I also had a second car which I used more often, a manual 98 Accord EX which I still have. It has 156K original miles/clutch on it. Unfortunately, it is not running at the moment due to inadvertent mishap/human error. Hence, my registration on this forum and appeal to you for practical advice as to how to proceed, etc. I have decided to do work myself. My experience is limited even though I am a retired civil engineer. The work is basically going to involve timing the engine; i.e., timing belt replacement, etc. and likely removing the head. I feel that the background I will be providing as to how this car ended up in its current non-functioning state, will provide some insight for some of the current and future members.

I look forward to interacting with you on the forum

Best regards

Mack
