I4M6 sport Sedan needs beefed up rear suspension for heavier loads
When I go car camping, the trunk and back seat are typically pretty heavily loaded. As a result, the rear suspension is taking a beating on public roads. I would like to pull a small trailer (~1,200 lbs) as well safely. I will have trailer brakes so jackknifing due to crosswinds from a semi-truck or mountain pass can be dealt with but, without reasonable rear suspension, the risk is much higher.
I am considering adding the V-6 front sway bar as well. What are the better options and recommendations?
Thanks!
Sid

Before anyone says buy a pickup or SUV, I am shopping Land Cruisers but I want to retain the ability use my 34MPG car for some of my trips instead of an 11MPG Overlanding beast. A ~$60K fuel-efficient modern pickup is not in my future though those Nissan Diesel Titan's look interesting.
Why the hate for the Cummins motor?
As for Nissan, my experiences have been pretty darn good since the early 90's, though I haven't personally owned a Titan. My Brother-in-law did and treated it like a mule taking a beating at the Grand Canyon with a morbidly obese entitled Karen on its back. It had some issues but, so did any vehicle being abused in the oilfields.

Not so much the cummins but the load of emissions they stacked on top of it that makes it an unreliable expensive turd.
And why diesel a half ton toy truck. Can't tow anything meaningful that would make the diesel shine. The added maintenance and purchase cost don't make sense for a very small fuel economy improvement.
Save the weight and expense of diesel for a full size truck you are planning to always have loaded and working.
