I have a 2000 honda accord ex 4 cylinder. I started having a problem where whenever I started the car as soon as I pressed on the gas the car would bog and die. The car would idle fine. I replaced map sensor, fuel pressure regulator. Cleaned throttle body and checked for vaccum leaks. Now the car is struggling to start and will not idle. Sometimes it will start if I press and hold the gas but as soon as I let off the gas car will die. Within the last year I have changed fuel pump, main relay, distributor and spark plugs. Any help would be appreciated.

 

That's an awful lot parts you replaced without knowing if there was anything wrong with them. Find a copy of the Helms manual and find the diagnosis flow chart for poor starting.

I did a motor swap some time ago and had this issue similar. It'd run but wouldn't idle. It was the EGR was stuck open and causing a lean condition. Something to consider.
