Hi guys. so I have a Honda Civic 1997 d16y5 manual and all stock but headers and intake manifold Spro fuel line aem with a fuel regulator. I removed the engine to paint the engine bay but I was really busy to put it back so Workshop nearby did it but unfortunately he cut some connectors from the harness. so I did relocating the battery on the fuse box.
Now the engine will crank but not start I cannot see the spark and I can’t hear the fuel pump priming I don’t know what the problem I checked all fuse good the main relay ticking when i put switch on.
I reground the wires btw I put one ground wire from the transmission and one from the radiator housing to the engine bay I don’t know what to do now can anybody please help me Idk where this wires came from
I just checked the fuel pump connector, there’s no power while cranking or ignition on.
I removed the fuel pump and tried it direct with a battery also not working. Btw it was working before the engine removal.
idk what’s wrong
For the people in future. This guy has the same issue but idk it has been solved or no.
anyway, I'll try to jump some wires from the main relay and the crank sensor, and I'll add more ground wires. will see

There are five wires in your hand in the photo above. The two between your fingers, which are connected to the green/white and red/white wires to the right of your fingers, are connected to the ECT plug on the end of the head under the distributor. The yellow and green/black wires in the palm of your hand connect to the reverse light switch which is screwed into the transmission case. The last wire, which happens to be yellow/green, goes to the single plug on the end of the cylinder head near the ECT two-wire plug. This is for the temperature gauge in your instrument cluster. With the ECT plug missing, the engine will be difficult to start in almost all conditions.

The fuel pump failure... likely coincidental.
THANKS a lot, JRCivic1 that was very helpful <3, yesterday I got Walbro 255lph still not priming, of course, tested the main relay by jumping 7-1 nothing 7-5, and nothing, direct ground A7 A8 from the ECU nothing again, so the main relay and the ECU shall be good.
couple of hours I will connect all sensors as you said above and I hope it'll be solved.
I'll keep updating this Thread till this problem is solved.
Check your engine harness ground as well... it SHOULD be mounted to the thermostat housing. Make sure the bolt is tight... wiring isn't corroded or broken... and the thermostat housing bolts are also tight... and ALL contacting surfaces are clean and shiny.

Hi dear so I change the fuel pump now it's priming I connected the brown grounds to the thermostat housing, the fuel pump is priming there is a fuel coming out from the fuel tank, but the fuel is not going to the fuel line there is no electricity going to the injectors as well there is no spark coming out from distributer. there's several wires still not connected shown below. This behind the alternator This beside the thermostat housing. Idk if these wires have something with starting the engine or no Right now all i care about is to start the engine Thanks

Hi, can knock sensor or oil pressure sensor effect starting the engine? I have these wires i believe one for knock sensor and the other for the oil pressure sensor.
Re: Cranking but No spark and no fuel priming ‼️ SOLVED
SOLVED it's ground issue when the fuel primed it solved but , silly me Before After I flipped the filter
now the engine starts, the alternator is jammed the belt is spinning on.
thanks you for your help 🙏
That fuel sock may still be a problem... you should have purchased an original type one.
I'll do but not now, i think the water pump jammed cuz i removed the thermostat and the coolant still not circulating.
i though we finish and I'll finally drive it again but .. any way I think it's the end of this thread i hope the guys in future who's facing same issue will find it useful thread.
