I am trying to fit the biggest OEM brakes to my sol.

Recently watched a video of Acura RL calipers being fitted to what looked like an 90s civic (possibly EK or EG)

Looks like we can use an adapter kit for the caliper and getting RSX rotors redrilled to 4 stud pattern + custom braided brake lines.

Has anyone done this setup on their sol or EG2? I was thinking about the ITR setup to 282mm rotors but these seem better on paper with a 300mm rotor and id prefer the biggest bang for buck rotor I can fit for some eye candy also.

Thoughts?

 

Do you have a requirement on wheel size? Sticking with 15s or open to larger wheels?
The ITR setup is good all around just because it fits under 15in wheels with most wheels and is affordable. You'll start running into wheel issues on larger brakes.

 

Hello - yes i’m currently running 17s so no issues with space.

On a related question the CRV swap is a bit more affordable but I don’t understand how to make the axels work.

For the front is it CRV hubs + prelude axels? So its all 36mm.

Any ideas for the rears? I have no access to dc2R or EK9R stuff at the wreckers. But prelude and CRV stuff is abundant
