A few months ago I solved one of my trunk leaks (and also front passenger foot-area leaks) due to sun-roof drains that got disconnected. That is all good now.
Car is an 2002 Honda Accord EX (2 door) if that helps.
I still have a little water coming into my trunk, along each side behind where the wheels are. I posted pics below with arrows showing where the water is coming in from.
On both sides, I can add some sealer around the clips where they protrude into the trunk and that should solve those leaks. But there is another area leaking as well.
Which leads me to these questions:
1. On the driver's side, due to the gap on the outer panels, water rushes heavily by the trunk vent (first pic) (I assume that is what it is) on the driver's side. What's the vent used for?
2. Is there a way to get the panels to butt up to each other better? Both sides of the car have a gap (I just showed a pic of the driver's side) (third pic).
3. Any idea why water is leaking through the clips (first and second pics)?
