Yet another mpfi help thread
I’ve got a 91 civic dx. Purchased a crashed but driving parts car and swapped the manual trans in. Then after a while swapped the mpfi (d16z6 manifold) onto the civic, got everything figured out and since the first start it’s been smoking like hell on acceleration, burning A LOT of oil. Had a couple issues while doing the mpfi swap so I crank no started the car quite a few times. Everything I’ve been reading/hearing is rings. But what confuses me is why it was such an off then on thing, and only happened after the swap. I still have all the Dpfi stuff so can swap back if it comes to that. Been fighting this issue for a couple of months now and it’s driving me crazy, let me know if you’ve got any advice. Aloha, from Hawaii.
