Default Potential ckp issues or ecu issues for 93 Honda civic del sol

Recently I got a salvaged 93 Honda civic del sol from my dad and it wouldn’t run (only crank) we saw that the spark plugs/spark plug wiring/ a fuse/ the cap and rotor were bad so we changed all of that but that didn’t get it to run.

theres no spark and the fuel pump receives no voltage. I tried researching everything but info on the del sol is pretty limited.

I did see that the ckp and the ecu could be the issue but other the ecu would be pretty expensive to replace and I want to first check the ckp before changing the ecu.

my question is, how the heck do I get the ckp off to replace it? I have the repair manual for the car and it shows me that it’s in the distributor and I found it, but it has so many wires and I tried to follow them but it’s attached to another tube thing which stems to two other areas so I actually have no idea how to replace the ckp. I tried looking for videos but I just couldn’t find anything.

Am I look at it wrong? I swear the ckp was next to the distributor but a lot of other cars have theirs next to the flywheel/crankshaft and what not.

anything and everything helps!!

thank you.
