Hey all! Im being handed down a manual 08 civic by my dad and the engine is creeping on 255k miles. Im thinking of swapping the motor and beefing it up as I mean, might as well 🤷‍♂️. I am not gonna sell it and buy an si because ive seen all the forums of people asking for advice. So far im curious what engine I should opt for as my budget isnt crazy enough for a 4k$ engine. Ive seen the K20a3 is pretty good for its price with 160hp and 142lb of torque. Ive found some for around 1200$ and the specs seem better than a k20z2. But im also seeing the k24a2 is good with 197hp and 166lb of torque. Any tips? What will I need to modify on the car for it to fit. At the moment it has the r18 and the engine has too many miles for simply smacking a turbo on it. Please help! Suggestions are welcomed.
