OBD2 Reader Issue
I have an 02 Accord V6 EX auto.
I bought a MotoPower OBDII E0BD MP69035 model reader.
I followed the instructions in the reader's manual, and I could not get it to read my car.
Tried it with ignition on and engine off, and engine on.
The reader goes power up once I plug it in, so at least I have power.
I then went and tried the read on my 15 Dodge Dart, and all the functions on the reader worked perfectly.
Anyone dealt with this issue before/know what I have to do to have the reader communicate to my Honda?

should be key on, engine off for normal code reading.
does your scanner try to communicate? does it show an error on screen or anything?
It's possible there is a bad connection or short in the connector or between the connector and the ECU.
I'm not sure a "bad" ECU would fail to communicate with a scanner, but I suppose that's possible.

Is there something I can check in the cars connector itself? The car passed it's last inspection and they plug into that port there in my state and nothing seemed to be wrong then.
