Just purchased a 97 civic LX and did an oil change and noticed the entire bottom is empty. I tried searching online for a skid plate but found nothing. Do these civics not come with a OEM skid plate from the factory?

 

No skid plate. Originally, they do come with splash shields which are plastic and wouldn't provide any protection from hitting objects in the road tall enough to damage the oil pan.
