Few questions about my 2004 Honda civic vp 😁
Hey everyone, I’m new here so I hope I’m posting in the right place but I had a few questions about modifying my civic that I just got a while ago. I’m going to put tldr’s at the beginning of each so if you don’t know one that’s perfectly fine I’m just looking for any advice that I can get as it would make my experience much more enjoyable
TLDR: I want to get tan bucket seats but all I can find is black.
My interior is tan and I really like the look of it because I’m going to paint the outside a nice British racing green. I’m trying to find tan bucket seats for the 04 civic vp, but I can’t find them anywhere. If you could send me a pair that would fit in the go that would be great!
TLDR: As far as buying aftermarket/OEM parts where do I go?
I’ve seen a few websites here and there that advertise OEM civic parts but I don’t really understand what OEM means and from what I understand I find it kinda sketchy that there’s a lot of them. Where do I go for OEM parts and when buying aftermarket parts like coil overs or k24 parts where should I go for that?
TLDR: I want to k24 swap my civic but I don’t know what I need to do it and I don’t know how.
I Really want to learn how to build an engine so I think it would be a good step for me to build my k24. I’ve watched a few people rebuild k24s but I don’t know what the best route is for me with my budget. I want to keep it under a few thousand if I can but I also want it to be a long lasting durable engine. I can go more in depth if somebody is interested in engaging a conversation but I really want to have the power of that 500hp k24 without damaging my bank account lol.
TLDR: I understand from watching yt videos that HONDATA is the best route to as far as ecu but how do I even get started learning that.
I know that I’m going to have to get somebody to tune my car; However when I go to put my k24 in I want to make sure that I can atleast drive it to somebody so they can do that. Is this unwise and should I tow it to a tuner once I put everything in or is there a route that I can take to do it myself so that I can drive the car without damaging it until I can get a proper tune.
I think that’s it for right now. I hope to be in this community for a while as I’ve seen how helpful you guys can be and I hope I didn’t sound too stupid for my first post haha.
