Default Gravity Bleeding Question

I was gravity bleeding my brakes today on my 2012 accord, attaching tubing from the bleeder to a capture bottle then opening the bleeder. I opened the bleeder just enough to get a trickle going. What I noticed is that some fluid would drip on the ground, that I guess was coming out from around the threads. Since gravity bleeding is under pressure I guess there is no worry that was causing air to get into the system. Is that correct?
