Car bogs at 5k rpms

Son was driving his car and hit 5k rpms and it started to bog, what would cause this? it's the first time it's happened he has a 95 civic dx with a b16a. Thanks

whats the redline for that engine (too lazy to look it up myself) it could be bouncing off the rev limiter.
ORRR it could be low fuel pressure, orrr something amiss in the ignition circuit

redline is about 8 to 8.5 the car drives fine its only happened when doing wide open throttle that we know of so far. He said it felt like he hit a wall
