So I bought a 2023 pilot elite in dark grey about a month ago, this car still has less that 1k miles. When I was cleaning it I observed contamination in the clear coat on one one the doors a little smaller then the size of a pen cap, on that door a I ended up finding about 3 spots the size of the top of a pen where the paint was raised and felt like there was sand under it . Took it to the dealer to look at they cleaned the car again and we ended up finding at least 20 spots the size of the top or a pen or larger but still very small where the paint was contaminated. These defects are all over the car.

The dealer said it was too new and too much for them to make a decision and I will be contacted by a Honda rep soon. My question is is this common? And are they really gonna try to repaint the entire brand new car.? Will repainting it make it look worse then the issue I’m looking at? And what can the Honda rep do ?

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as I travel down this road
