Default 2000 Manual Honda Accord

Been having issues after issue with this one. But the latest problem is that its throwing a fuel rich code and won't go above 2000 rpms. I noticed wires on a sensor on the transmission came off and wanted to know what sensor this is or if this would be my culprit.

\"Had" a yellow and green wires coming out ... Now they're both gone.

I would doubt those broken wires causing your running rich problem. Those look like your reverse light wires.
Something I would look into is maybe your TPS on the throttle body, make sure it's calibrated properly and not broken inside. That's just the first thing that comes to mind but I could be totally wrong.

So somebody mentioned that the oil on top of the transmission is most likely from the distributor seal. Would this be the culprit for backfiring, low rpm ... Not going above 2k. Idoling at 1500

Take the distributor cap off and see if there is oil puddling inside... if so, you will be mis-firing.
