2003 civic won’t shift past 4k rpm’s!
Hi guys i need help with my civic, I recently had the head gasket repaired, I notice that when going on the highway at high speeds or up hill when rpm’s hit 4k the engine will stall/shake until i let off on the gas it will shift( sometimes). I was looking at other forums and it said it could be a clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, or my transmission speed sensor could be going out or the transmission is bad.
I would think timing is good , Could be a crank/cam sensor loose , misaligned or damaged crank/cam journal even if just a little disrupting sensor at higher RPMs . Intake leaks ? ?
I was watching a video where the journal the sensor picks a signal from was bent and at high rpms the signal would get lost . You may need a real time diagnostic scan , but also a good technician to figure out a puzzle like this .
