Default 88 ef hatch OBD1 swap

I’m currently swapping everything over from OBD0 to OBD1. I bought a rywire OBD1 engine harness but without double checking it doesn’t plug into the cabin harness. I thought about getting a different cabin harness from like an eg/ej chassis but I’m not really too sure on how all that works. Any help would be appreciated. The car is gutted too btw so the dash won’t be an issue rn.

Which cabin harness connector(s) are you talking about? I thought the engine harness went straight to the ECU.

edit: I don’t think you needed to buy a OBD1 engine harness. Couldn’t you have used the existing OBD0 harness and used the jumper harness to your new OBD1 ECU?
