Default Honda Engine Code confusion?

Hello everyone, I went to the market for an engine I needed, what I found there was an engine with VTEC, the head code is P2M-2, and Block code VA-AN. I have no idea what engine it is, the D15, or D16?
Help needed!

In the last pic you posted the valve cover is marked "F-22" in chalk. I would assume its an F-22 engine.

Lol no, it's just chalk it's common here to just write anything here.
I need details on the Honda Block Code: VA-AN, Head Code: P2M-2.
That's what's written on the engine. Cannot seem to find this info on this anywhere.

I've heard that a lot of (if not all, I really have no clue) blocks in Malaysia and the Philippines have no block codes similar to what we see on the US or Japanese blocks, but have codes like VA-AF and VA-AN. Unfortunately I have no clue where you can find out what these codes correspond to though, there doesn't seem to be much info out there.

Because your "JDM D swap" is not from Malaysia or the Philippines... but from Japan? I'm not sure what you're asking.

You are right, there's little to no info available on these Block Codes (VA-AF, VA-AN) and it somewhat leads to Philippines, thai etc. The question is now how do we know what the heck do these codes represent, what kind of D series? Maybe we could get some help with the Head, it's a "P2M-2", a lil help on this too

And if someone's from the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, pls help us identify the block, thanks!

I recently purchased a surplus cylinder head with white markings on top that says VA-AN. I can guarantee you that there are no VA-AN blocks/engine locally made in the Philippines. A mechanic mentioned that VA-AN is from Malaysia (don't quote me on this). The cylinder head I got was a P2J 20 camlobes, the local Philippines PH16A (similar to a D16Y5) only has 16 camlobes.

My Mechanic also had a VA AN engine, he said it was similar to D16Z6.

This engine is identical to the D16Y8, with an aluminum cylinder head, the same block, the same cylinder head, and P2P pistons. They're from Malaysia.
