A/C belt Squeal
Ok, so i have a 1995 del sol si with the d16z6. I recently did the headgasket, timing belt, clutch and flywheel, and input shaft bearing. All of that went fine, but the on issue im having is the A/C belt squeals like crazy. When i first tightened it to be tight but not too tight (right about where my non-squealing p/s and alternator belt are) it squealed at all rpms, weather the ac was on or not. I then loosened it, and it would stop squealing, until i turned the ac on and it would slip and squeal. So I tightened it some more, and no more how precisely i tighten it, its either “too tight” and squeals all the time, or too loose and slips on the compressor. I also went and got a new belt and cleaned all the pulleys to try and remedy this and the symptoms are the exact same. I do not know what could even cause this, and i dont know why it would only start doing this after i take the belt off and put it back on. Has anyone had this issue or know what it might be?
