My 91 CRX HF is facing serious threats
May 25, 2023, 13:24 East Coast time.
I cannot find decent mechanics to work on my 91 CRX HF, anywhere, where I live, which is in northern central Maryland.
And the mechanics lie, when it comes to locating parts: they tell me they can't find the parts, but all that really means is that they consult nothing but their routine sources. I have found parts glaringly available on RockAuto, for example, that the employees of shops say they could not find.
My CRX has been doing beautifully, but it needs some stuff urgently.
I am joining various CRX forums in the hope of locating excellent mechanics, and widening my sources of parts.

Good luck finding a trustworthy mechanic, if you don't know someone personally. Your time might be better spent learning to work on the car yourself, especially if you want it done right.

[ if you don't know someone personally ] ??? But - *that is precisely why I am here.* I am, exactly, seeking, in online forums, the kinds of recommendations that, otherwise, I might get only from personal connections.
Since you seem to be volunteering, what good Honda shops or mechanics do _you_ know? If they seem good, after I check them out, I can get to Kentucky.
[ Your time might be better spent learning to work on the car yourself ]
I have owned this car since 1994, and I have done a lot of work on it.
There are some things I cannot take care of, particularly in regard to urgent demands on my awake-hours at this point in my life.
That is why I am here, seeking people -- including, of course, accomplished personal owners - whom I could pay to help me.
